Working to help save orangutans

Having been active within Indonesia for the last 15 years, Nature Alert is now offering a unique opportunity for the selected candidate to become its first full time, country-based representative. We are also seeking to hire a veterinary surgeon, preferably with zoo experience.


(1) Position: Operations Manager

Location: Jakarta.

Job Description: The Operations Manager will:

- be responsible for the formation of Nature Alert within Indonesia. This
includes all aspects of formal registration, administration and
management.

- be able with assistance of Nature Alert (UK) to formulate and implement
plans concerning the conservation and protection of orangutans,
specifically those in captivity.

Candidates need to:

- possess excellent communications skills.
- be able to speak and write in English.
- have experience of orangutan conservation work.
- be based in Jakarta, with the ability to travel at short notice.
- be passionate about helping save orangutans.

(2) Position: Veterinary Surgeon


Job Description:

The ideal candidate will be able with assistance of Nature Alert (UK) to formulate and implement plans concerning the welfare of orangutans in captivity.

Candidates need to:

- possess excellent communications skills.
- be able to speak and write in English.
- preferably has experience of zoo large animal work.
- be based in Jakarta, with the ability to travel at short notice.
- be passionate about helping orangutans.

take place in January, in Jakarta.
- be able to work flexible working hours.


Salary by arrangement.
