Orangutan torture - ignored by BOS.

SAMARINDA ZOO, EASTERN BORNEO, JANUARY 2009

In the left cage is one maybe five year old orangutan. The top of its tiny cage has not cover - no protection 24/7 from the blisteringly hot sun or the frequent torrential rain. The public can get as close as they want and do whatever they want. This orangutan was highly agitated and aggressive when we were there, doubtless caused by many months of torment by people. The equally small cage to the right has two orangutans in it. Their whole lives, day after day, week after week, is spent in these two cages, only two hours from a BOS rescue centre. And BOS know they are there.
